Real-time Scoreboard
Want to keep score of your shop floor productivity? Predator MDC™ (Manufacturing Data Collection) keeps track of every second for every machine.  A real-time scoreboard displays current machine, part, job, operation and personnel status.  Multiple engineers, supervisors and managers can view the scoreboard form any networked PC. Leverage the power of the Internet and VPN from anywhere in the world to see the status of your shop floor.

Multiple Plants
Have multiple plants or buildings? Predator MDC supports an unlimited number of plants or buildings right out of the box.  Multiple plants can share a single database for enterprise wide reports and charts or each plant can have a separate database. Track machines, personnel, parts, and processes in real-time. Organize your machines by grouping them per building or cell. Connect your PC's and create an entire real-time shop floor machine monitoring and data collection network.

Monitor up to 256 Machines or Work Centers per PC
Have an entire shop floor of CNC machines? Predator Manufacturing Data Collection™ (MDC) supports up to 256 machines per PC for simultaneous cycle time, setup time, teardown time, downtimes with reasons, good parts, scrap parts with reasons and an unlimited number of user defined events.

Software and Hardware based Data Collection
Frustrated with software only or hardware only based MDC? Predator MDC™ supports both types so the right approach can be taken with every machine and work center.  The Predator MDC adapter supports multiple digital inputs and outputs and is compatible with any shop floor machine or device.

Monitor an Unlimited # of Events
Need to monitor more than 4 or 8 events per machine? Since Predator MDC™ is software-based, an unlimited number of machine events can be monitored. An unlimited number of user-defined events can be added to any machine or just selected machines. Time, operator, or process/program studies can be made by customizing the events that are monitored on each machine.

Reports & Graphs
Need to generate summary reports and graphs? Predator MDC™ includes over 80 standard reports. Custom reports can be created with numerous third party applications, such as Crystal Reports.

Examples of a few Reports and Graphs:

• Shift Summary Report gives detailed shift information regarding good parts, scraped parts, scheduled and unscheduled downtimes, and much more...

• Production Detail Report lists by resource (in this case by department), good parts, scrap parts, quality percentage, scheduled parts per hour, production parts per hour, and production percentage achieved for the time period selected.

• Production Detail by Part Report similar to the Production Detail Report listed above, this report utilizes the part number as the resource.

• Production Detail by User Report similar to the Production Detail Report listed above, this report utilizes the user as the resource.

• Machine Time Report lists totals by resource (in this case by department) for logon time, cycle time, setup time, down time, and idle time for the time period you select.

• Machine Time by User Report similar to the Machine Time Report listed above, this report utilizes the user as the resource.

• Productivity Summary Graph is viewed by the resource selected and compares production time, planned downtime, unplanned downtime, and setup time as an overall percentage for the resource and time period selected.

• Good vs. Scrap Summary Graph is viewed by resource (in this case by department), compares the good parts run by each shift for the the time period you select.

• Good Parts Summary Graph is viewed by resource (in this case by department), compares the good parts run by each shift for the the time period you select.

• Hours Summary Graph for a department, compares the total scheduled shift hours, actual production hours, and actual cycle hours, against the total number of shift hours available.

• Downtime Summary Graph for a department, details all scheduled and non-scheduled downtimes as a percentage of the overall downtime for any time period you select.

Tired of running dedicated wiring from machine to machine just for monitoring purposes? Predator MDC™ eliminates dedicated wiring and leverages your existing Predator DNC™ and network wiring. Frustrated with data collection errors? Predator MDC™ supports automatic, error-free, and unattended machine monitoring for events such as job start and end, setup start and end, cycle start and end, to name a few of the events that can be monitored. This type of data is collected automatically using Custom Macro B or similar protocols without requiring operator training or input.

Manual Monitoring of Manufacturing Data
Want to record information directly from operators in real-time? Predator MDC™ also supports manual monitoring of events that are initiated by machine operators such as machine logon/offs, downtimes, and scrap reasons.  Predator MDC™ can be used to manually collect data using several methods including Remote Request™, swiping bar codes, touch screen PCs or standard PCs.

Predator MDC includes a comprehensive API (application programming interface) with 300+ methods all fully documented.  Develop ERP and shop floor validation, flow part and job numbers from ERP directly into Predator and numerous other automation projects can be completed within C++, VB, VB script, Delphi and other compatible programming languages.

Open Database Architecture
Have a corporate database standard or requirement? Predator MDC™ is based on an open architecture client/server database standard. Select from Microsoft Access, Microsoft SQL Server, or Oracle.

Want 24x7x365 reliability? Predator MDC™ Service runs in the background and continuously "crunches" the data gathered from the shop floor while updating the database server as necessary.
