On-Line Help

MSE's on-line help feature displays the actual screen pertaining to your question. Point at the feature you're questioning, click with your mouse, and a descriptive text box appears. MSE Help automatically navigates to the next screen if that also is a function of the feature you've questioned.

Layout & Cycle Time Only

Are there times when you just would like to generate a routing, perform cycle time calculations, and generate process or cam layouts? Use MSE's Layout & Cycle Time selection to avoid going through the entire cost estimating procedure. Routings are prepared and operations estimated in just a few minutes for CNC lathes, Machining Centers, and all types of Screw Machines.

Multi-Level Bill of Materials

The system contains a fully integrated Bill of Material system. Each BOM holds up to five different component levels, and can be nested infinitely to handle any size assembly. BOMs can contain purchased as well as manufactured parts. As prices or costs change, BOMs are updated automatically with new pricing, or cost information.

Estimating from CAD

Digitizing no longer requires extraneous equipment or tablets in our work area. On-screen digitizing requires only a mouse and a file from your CAD program. Using the image button, recall images to the screen and trace the length of simple or complex shapes with the mouse.

The system automatically scales drawings to the screen. It's an easy and accurate way to get lengths of cuts for any shape. When a CAD file is unavailable, you may access tool path data and part dimensions directly from a printed drawing. Using a sonic or a standard digitizing tablet, all measurements, including complex curves, can be transferred into the estimate.

CAD Drawings

Store your estimate and drawings together. Incorporate piece part, tooling, fixture and process drawings into the estimate file. When you need a drawing to review or revise an estimate, there's no need to exit the estimating program. MSE is able to record and retrieve drawings from the specified location. Numerous CAD and graphic file formats are accepted.

Re-Quotes Done In Minutes

Estimating functions simplify re-quoting from existing quotes. Simply start a new estimate and let MSE do the work! Enter blueprint information and MSE automatically checks its file cabinets to see if you have estimated the part before. If previously estimated, MSE allows you to automatically load all of the old estimate information into the new estimate.

Simply change production quantities and the system automatically recalculates material requirements and tool amortizations, and reviews multi-method comparisons, while recalculating the new final price. New material costs are retrieved from the built in cost tracking library.

Micro Estimating Exists For One Purpose

Micro Estimating exists to help you generate quick, accurate estimates. Our software addresses estimator's everyday functions. We reduce to easily retrievable information, materials, work centers, labor rates, pricing data and even your customer and vendor files. We simplify data entry, from any source. We help preserve your company's expert estimating knowledge in a variety of standards databases known as knowledge databases.

You save time because we let you customize program flow and automate repetitive routines. As a customer, you'll find our technical support and training accessible and expert, not only regarding our software, but also with respect to your manufacturing processes. At Micro Estimating, we field your support questions with personnel who also program MSE routines. It costs us more, but it saves you time and money, and gives us a satisfied customer.
