| Complete Quoting Package | |
MSE generates an estimate for a part quickly and accurately. The process layout, cycle time, and quoted price are tailored exactly to your equipment. Whether a machine is tied up, or you're curious about the cost of using another machine, it takes only seconds to recalculate. You can compare cycle times, routings, or costs quickly and easily with no additional data entry! |
| Multi-Level Bill of Material | |
The MSE system contains a
fully integrated Bill of Material application. Each BOM can be nested
infinitely to handle any size assembly. BOMs can contain purchased as well
as manufactured parts. As prices or costs change, BOMs are updated
automatically with new pricing, or cost information. The MSE system allows
CAD drawings and graphic images to be associated with an estimate. These
images can be used for onscreen viewing, part identification, and digitizer
style (point and click) measuring of complex and irregular contours. |
| Workcenters & Process Planning | |
The Machine Shop Estimating system provides the ability to emulate the machine tool itself. MSE estimates are based on solid engineering data rather than someone's best guess, a group of averages, or a "generic" set of standards. By defining specific machine parameters such as idle and index times, rapid traverse rates, horsepower, load/unload times, and maximum cutting feed rates, MSE estimates reflect your actual equipment’s capabilities. MSE features simple, functional screens that allow the editing of Cut Length, SFM, RPM, Feed and Idle times, providing users with complete Cycle Time Optimization on a single screen. Imagine the time savings for the setup personnel when provided with the level of detail prepared by the MSE system: an estimate which may be completed in less than 10 minutes . |
| Materials - Speeds & Feeds | |
The MSE system contains speeds and feeds for over 1130 different types of materials. The material library contains over 2 million speed/feed combinations that are based on actual shop experience, user input, and reference materials of all types. MSE provides an extremely fast and flexible editing feature that allows you to fine tune the cutting parameters to your standards, based on your manufacturing experience and capabilities. |
| Material Pricing & Stock Codes | |
Material pricing is kept in
the Material Cost Library. During the material calculation process, current
pricing information is pulled from this library, as are the vendors and the
date the price was obtained. The library supports all standard pricing
formats, as well as minimum, shipping and vendor cut charges. A flexible
alpha-numeric stock code feature allows for stock identification
numbers, which coordinate material type, shape, and geometric features. |
| Reports & Analysis / Activity Scheduling & Tracking | |
MSE offers many standard reports providing the information necessary to make informed decisions about the price, hours required, materials required, outside services required, and other related items in the estimate. Compare quantity breakdowns, Multiple Method Routings, Cost or Price Analysis based on the individual quantities being quoted. Why manually calculate the data that MSE automatically generates for you? |
